Zachary Novicki found his love for pageantry arts in 2006 as a member of the Woodhaven Warrior Marching Band. Three years later, Zack began his first season as a member of the LakeShoremen Drum & Bugle Corps. He is currently the Assistant Band Director and Winter Guard Director at Southgate Anderson High School, and has assisted with many high school marching band programs throughout Michigan. Additionally, Zack has arranged music for multiple LSM programs and various other high schools, and has written drill in the past for LSM Winds.
Zack has served as a member of the WGI Winds Advisory Board since the inception of the winds division, and is currently serving a two year term on the WGI Winds Steering Committee, where he is responsible for evaluating scoring systems, philosophies, and ongoing instructor education for the Winds activity.
Zack received his education from Wayne State University, where he was a member of the saxophone studio.
When not spending all of his time in “Band Land”, Zack likes to play video games, read comic books(especially Superman!), and hang out with his cats, Wolverine and Zoom.
Fun fact!: Due to his experience and success in the marching arts, Zack was hired as a “Special Abilities Actor” and played the role of a marching member of the United States Marine Corps in the blockbuster movies “Batman v Superman” and “Suicide Squad”.
