Iggi Courter

Doug Courter, AKA Iggi, has been marching, performing and teaching since the 80’s. Iggi is currently the Director of Livonia Untitled Winter Guard.

Through the years he marched with Lakeland High School (flight II champions in 1991), Northern Aurora Drum and Bugle Corp (1992 & 1993, first MI corp from MI to make top 25 in DCI), took gymnastics and dance from the age of 6 & performed all over the country in various ensembles in college. In 1998 he graduated with a degree in Music from William Tyndale College where he was an intricate part in the design of 100’s of stage productions. In 1999 he graduated with a degree in Sociology from WTC. Through the years he’s worked with Evolution Winter Guard, Fusion Winter Guard, Reverie of South Lyon Winter Guard, Rhapsody of South Lyon Winter Guard, Milford HS Winter Guard, Huron Valley Alliance Winter Guard, Huron Valley United Winter Guard, Huron Valley Open Winter Guard, LSM Winds, South Lyon Marching Band, Milford Marching Band, Lakeland Marching Band and Livonia Churchill Marching Band among others. He’s also taught Musical Theater and Modern Dance at various local and National Dance companies.

In his free time, Iggi loves to camp, eat nachos, play volleyball, work on his house, play Legos, discover new music, hike, and binge watch tv shows.

Iggi brings an aged eye (yes he really is 43), a keen wit with a willingness to try new things in all the different fields he’s been a part of & over 30 years of Theater experience. Iggi is excited to be a part of the 2018 LSM Winds staff.
